April Schnibbles

My Schnibbles quilt for April is done! I went in a little different direction this month. Instead of a charm pack I used some leftovers from my Heather Bailey fabrics. It looks a little more modern and very different from the original.

AQS Show

Welcome to my new blog home. I've just moved in permanently so watch for a little redecorating in the future.

Last week was the annual trip to Paducah for the American Quilters' Society Quilt Show. It's fun, inspiring and a bit costly. Caught up in the excitement the cash flows freely.

Here are a few of my favorite quilts. There were tons of amazing quilts, but I usually photograph the ones that maybe I have a chance of making. I forgot my camera, so they are phone pictures. Not the best!

This was just fascinating for me. Each letter featured a block - kind of like a kid's ABC book.

Some of my purchases. Some "Botany" charm packs - may be next month's Schnibble.

And this mod, retro group. I'm so attracted to vivid color lately (maybe the eyes are going). I've got big plans for this. Stay tuned!!

It's a Girl!

Hi! from Virginia. I arrived yesterday afternoon, went out for a nice dinner, had a nice relaxing evening and at 4 am became a Grandma for the second time.

Madelyn Joy was born today weighing 6 pounds 8 ounces. She is such a good girl to wait until I got here! Everyone is doing great! Pictures coming soon!
